About Me

My photo
Watts Fine Art
I like to consider myself a seeker of truth; one who is looking for genuine beauty, integrity, compassion, and understanding. As someone who's battled depression for much of his life, I often find the hardest part of creating art is forcing myself to do it. However, I try to remain vigilant as there is a cathartic element to painting that medication doesn't seem able to provide. My hope is I can continue to use art to heal wounds and quell the sadness and despair that seems intent on haunting me and so many like me. Our tortured souls hold us captive and imprisoned by the fog of despondency. Perhaps, for me, in a subtle and poignant juxtaposition, painting provides an elegant and creative way of providing an escape if only for a few brief moments. The battle continues to flow and hopefully the paint and ideas will as well. Thank you for visiting and all the best.
